Willemien van der Burg established her interior design company, Reflexões Contemporary Design, in the Algarve in 1997. Reflexões has a large showroom in Almancil, where a collection of exclusive designer furniture and lighting is displayed from leading brands such as Poliform, Flexform, Riva, Gervasoni, Meridiani, Linteloo, Fritz Hansen, Roda, Royal Botania, Manutti, Paola Lenti and Flos.

Willemien’s philosophy is based on a close mutual exchange of ideas with her clients and her designs are warm, stylishly simple and timeless. She has wide experience in creating a range of colour schemes though her personal affinity is with subdued and neutral shades. The materials used are authentic woods, linens and cottons and she is known for creating relaxed and comfortable homes that are in harmony with the surrounding landscape.
